![]() Chapter 2A Chapter by A.J Whit![]() Sorry guys been duper super tired![]() ![]() Chapter 2: “What the hell have I gotten myself into?” ~ Amelia ~ Ah, this place again I thought to myself. I was standing in the old house again, wearing the same white dress with my hair down but I wasn’t wearing any shoes. “Amelia!” a voice shouted I turned around to face the person shouting my name “Amelia!” the voice said again. The wind started blowing causing my hair to cover my eyes when I manage to move my hair out the way I saw a girl from far away waving her right hand in the air signaling me to come over while her left hand form a C shape on the side of her mouth continuing to shout my name “Amelia! Come here, I want to show you something.” When the wind had stopped blowing she place her arms at her side and smiled, waiting for me to come to her. I hesitated walking to her she looked normal but something about her eyes had a sinister look in them. “Why?” I asked. The girl had stretched out her right hand and smile “Don’t you trust me?” she asked in return. “No, and I don’t think I ever will.” The girl gave me an annoyed grin “I guess you aren’t so stupid after all.” I gave her a questioning look. The girl started to walk over to me in a hurry; she looked as though she was ready to charge at me. I wanted to run away but I couldn’t, as the girl got closer the more sinister she also became but before she could get any closer a hard smack on the head from reality had awaken me. I slowly opened my eyes to see the face of an old friend, “Ouch…” I said as I rubbed my temple where she had hit me. “Sorry,” she began “nothing else woke you up.” “I know.” She frowned at me “Same dream?” “Yeah, same dream.” I let out a heavy sigh as I got up from the couch to get a drink of water “Maybe…you should tell the headmistress?” she suggested “No,” I said quickly “and don’t you say nothing either.” I glared at her just to make sure she understood. She nodded, pushing her hair back to let a sigh out. “At least tell me they’re not getting worse.” I stared at her, unable to answer “I see,” she walked over the counter in the kitchen to hand me a folder that didn’t have a name on it “your new team.” I picked up the folder and opened to find nothing inside but just two names “Samuel and Christopher?” I asked “Yup” she smiled at me “Uh, why aren’t there any pictures? And no background either? Just their names.” “Well, let just say they weren’t invited to the party.” “Oh you gotta be kidding me. They invited themselves you mean? ” “Pretty much.” she threw her arms in the air “They must have some balls asking Tanya, but a little too excited...why?” She came closer to me and took the folder out of my hand and laid it back down on the counter and place her finger on the first name Samuel. “This guy is a shifter!” she exclaimed “We never had one before, and make things better his parents are the owner of that cosmetics company.” “You mean those murders?” I asked, there is this cosmetics company that you can hire to frame someone for murder, the company of nothing but shifters, shape shifters to be technical, the shifter into the person you want to frame and kill whoever in front of a lot of people. Of course the cosmetics company thing is a front but if this Samuel guy is really the son of that company then he must of ran to us for intentions…I think. “Of course.” She replied “Poor kid, and what about this Christopher guy?” “Remember when we were kids and every now and then there the Tanya would bring her nephew over to play with us?” “Oh yeah! But why is he with Samuel?” Christopher was this quiet kid who used to come over my house when we were eight to play with us, though he didn’t exactly stick around for long. “There like best friends, after the Rip happened his parents moved away” her voice grew grim and looked back at his name. Almost automatic I touch her shoulder and said, “Don’t think about it too much alright.” “Right…” Trying to change the subject “So why do you know so much about them huh?” I asked, she smiled thankful I asked. “Well, I’m your folder,” she let a playful giggle “the headmistress didn’t want any of their information on file just yet so she thought it be easier for me to tell you instead.” “Oh, but wait -”she threw her index finger into my face. “No. You're late you have to go and meet ‘em.” I gave her an annoyed glare and headed for the door but stop when my hand was on the knob. “At least tell me why you aren’t on my team.” I asked quietly. She chuckled before answering, “The headmistress said you would ask me that.” I turned around annoyed “Tell me.” I demanded. She smiled, “She told me to tell to ‘Look at the bigger picture’ now go you're going to be late.” I slammed the door behind me irritated. What the hell have I gotten myself into? I thought. As I started to make my way to the Tanya’s office, I tried focusing on the wind blowing on my face to calm down. So I’m guessing this is the part I tell you who I am. My name is Amelia, I’m fourteen years old and an agent for A.S.O. I’ve been with the academy since I was twelve but I haven’t been in an official team until well just now, so I’ve been focusing on training ‘till Tanya said I was ready. Oh and as for the girl I was talking to earlier she is my best friend Faith we’ve been together since we were five and we joined the academy together too. The reason as to why I’m irritated is because my best friend isn’t on my team, we’ve done almost everything together and besides if it wasn’t for her…I’d probably be mess, she always looked out for me usually if I trained too hard or it had my usual nightmare, which I won’t go into detail about " at least for now. When I got to the office Tanya was standing by the door waiting for me. “ ‘Look at the bigger picture’ you said, what does that mean?” I asked. “Your teammates are waiting for inside, you are the team leader this point on,” she totally just ignored my question“your team’s name is Azymus.” I gave her a questioning look. “Latin? Couldn’t you choose something in English?” I asked, Tanya usually gives out team names in English. “You and your other teammates are special, which is why Faith couldn’t join.” She replied with a smile. I had no idea what she was saying but to argue with Tanya is like arguing with…never mind. “Whatever you say.” “They’re waiting for you inside please show them around the campus and answer any questions they may have.” “You don’t have to be so formal, Tanya.” She turned around and heading towards the security building with her guards right behind her. “If you will excuse I have to deal with ‘the bigger picture’ have fun dear.” I waited for her leave before going in her office, when I entered the two of them were sitting down staring at me. The first boy I saw seem to be Christopher, he had blonde hair which was slick back I guess he was trying to look formal and he was wearing what seem to be a school uniform, not A.S.O but some school but his eyes " his eyes are what captivated me the most they were a deep blue color it felt as though I staring at James, It wasn’t the color of his eyes or anything special, it was just the way he looked at me, for a moment I felt tear well up in the corner of my eyes. I blinked them away and turn to the other guy Samuel if I’m correct. “Hello,” I said, Samuel had long brown hair but had it in a ponytail and nothing really stood out to me " it was really hard to believe he was a shifter; I walked to Samuel to shake his, he got up in hurry, as if he was nervous “ welcome to A.S.O.”
