YOU

YOU

A Poem by Patches I'm not so new anymore.
"

(A Sonnet) Dedicated to the woman who has my heart

"

When the morning of the day arrives

that I have no thoughts of you

When I do not have my morning cup of coffee

or picture you having yours...

When in that noontime your face

 does not appear before me,

or I do not picture you at home

sitting in the American Indian room...

When on that future evening, thoughts of you

do not shimmer and flit across my mind

like bright butterflies and I am oblivious

to your existence...

When that day dawns J'et Amie, it will be the morning

after I have left this mortal coil behind.
