Shadowpairing

Shadowpairing

A Poem by Patrick O'Boyle
"

On being bound to a fictitious unreality

"
At Parallel Worlds Collide,
Our shadows often meet,
To dance upon the nothingness,
With careful, muted feet.

Fingers locked we are but two,
But two for which the clock holds still,
Eyes as green as they are blue,
Between seconds infinity does fill.

Toe by step and step by toe,
We waltz once more the music slow,
Silence for the tandem pounds,
That beats beneath our ribs compound

Search with heart, not tainted mind,
My constant, fantast hand to find.

This was really great.
The rhyming was brilliant.
It was very deep, emotional, meaningful and powerful.
I enjoyed reading it :)
