Purple, I love your 
majestic hues the sunrise

Small bruises

my shell of a body

My heart when

beating with

yours

Close your eyes 
let me kiss your lids
of purple

To sleep

dreamless, blissful
anesthetic sleep

Where dreams that are dreamed in
royal purple beneath calm waters
last

forever?

The image of the bruising reflects energy and erotic pleasures, the shell of a body... seems a bit of a brittle image -- and then, was the 'beating' heart intended as a play on the bruising? lol Purple is a very arousing colour for me.... deep dreams... yes, for sure... deep and accompanied by bruises... Purple is the color of passion, romance and sensitivity..I use it in all of the flower gardens I plant..You have done very well with the color in this poem...
This poem reminds me of a deep purple million bells, in a hanging basket.
Its words, and phrase terms weeping down to the finish in fine floret shades of lavender to deep purple.

Is purple your favorite color? It is majestic they say and it is the color of bruised skin and heart. I like when you allow your mind to drift and your pen to just write, it may not have direct meaning but taken line by line it has many meanings. Like a dream that leads from point I to point A with no pattern and yet it has meaning. Very good write.
