Chapter one: Could this get worse

 "Look just go up to he and ask her to the dance." James told Taylor. I could
hear them with my vampire hearing, sometimes it gets annoying. "Okay, i'll go ask
 just get off my back about it." Taylor walked forward looking as beautiful as he
always was. "Hi Luna." "Oh, hi Taylor. Did you want something?" "Well I wanted to
know if you would go to the spring fling with me. As in..a date?" I smiled and
nodded, keeping mind that what Taylor wanted usually got. "Great, i'll pick you up
at eight o'clock. Wear something red." He kissed my cheek and walked off. All of a
sudden a voice spoke, "Hello Luna....Did you miss me?" I jumped and turned around
seeing Madi my best friend in the world. "Madi! Omg where have you been?" We
hugged and she zoomed off talking. "Sorry but i overheard Taylor ask you out to
the spring fling! Oh my god!" "I know right. At first I was like 'wow another
trick', but then i saw how serious he was!" Madi started talking again and my mind
wandered to a certain smell. "Um, i'll see you later Madi." I interupted her. I
walked off leaving her with a wierd face. My nose followed the intense smell.
"Sometimes I feel like a dog", i mumbled to myself. All of a sudden i ran into
somebody, making me fall on my but. "OW! watch where you're going." I told the
person. "Sorry, I was listening to my I-pod. Did you say something?" I got up
annoyed and brushed my cheerleading outfit off. "You're a cheerleader?" He asked
me. "Yeah, i hate it but it's in my blood." The boy smiled and repied, "I'm Luke.
Just moved from Virginia." "I'm Luna. Welcome to Ohio." We shook hands like two
sufisticated adults. The smell of his blood kept urging itself towards me. It took
me all my might to not give in and kill him. "Son I see you met someone. Hi i'm
David, I'm his father." He turned towards me and shook my hand. "Hi! I'm Luna,
head cheerleader." "Perfect! You can show my bo-" "Dad! Stop it! I'll be fine
without you...goodbye." He waved irritated. His father thought about it then
walked off. "Anyways, Let's go to the pep-rally." I grabbed his hand and rushed to
the Gymnasium. "Madi, this is Luke. Can he sit with you...he's sort of new." I
laughed and went to my squad."Ladies and gentlemen of Evermore High School. Today is our annual pep-rally to celebrate out victorious wins of our football team."
The kids clapped and cheered with excitement. The Football team was the best in
the state. They were on their way to facing other states. "Please allow our
cheerleaders to celebrate with one of their new cheers." Everyone turned their
attention to us, waiting for our big cheer. "Okay, Ready. One,Two,Three!" "We're
Evermore and we're here to fight! We'll bring you down all through the night! Our
team is mighty and strong! The cheerleaders cheer them along!" We stopped cheering and did our moves. First, a torch. Then two flamingo's. After that we went into a pyramid, with me on top. The students cheered with excitement. All of a sudden a sudden the pyramid became wobbly. I heard Screams before i realized i was falling. "Some one catch her!" I heard Madi yell. I felt the rush of someone underneath me. Then i felt the impact of the floor and my head. But the rest of my body was fine. I looked up, through blurry vision, and saw Luke holding me. "L...Luke?" He let go of me and walked away. All the students came running at me at once. "Someone get the nurse!" A girl yelled. Madi came up ad whispered in my ear, "Follow me or you'll be trampled." I supported my self on a jock's shoulder. Then I ran to Madi. "M...Madi! Wait up!" She abruptly turned around and grabbed my neck. "You filthy beast!" She threw me aside like a toothpick. "What the hell?" "I know you're a vampire....why didn't you tell me?" "I...I didn't know you'd find out. I thought you didn't believe in vampires!" "I've always believed in mythical animals." My eyes grew with shock. I should've been able to read her mind when she thought about mythical animals. How come i didn't? "You are so blind! I've watched you for over five years!" "Five years?! We've only known one another for two years!" She bit her lip, wondering if she told tell me. Oh so now i can read her mind. "I've followed you for the past five years. I'm sorry,but i had to." "Why?!" "Because you killed my sister!" She ran off with tears smearing her mascara,making her look like a sweating rockstar. "Madi! Please,don't go!" Every fiber in my body was numb and sick. 'Could this get any worse?' I asked myself.
