Threads of Fate

Threads of Fate

A Poem by Pdarshan

Time a tale, of chancy encounters
A different course it would have been.
If i had glanced upon thy then,
Would i be but a better me?

A bitter, badder, meaner tale
A must if must for this to see.
The beauty of this simplicity,
Would it be then mediocricy?

Things unsaid and thoughts witheld,
Experience gets the better of me.
If i would pour all that it holds,
Would an end be it, come to me?

Time never the best of friends,
Fate is but a mighty hope.
A glance of you, a chance for you,
Would i now tread another streak?

Shackle bound this world we live,
Or it was but what i percieved.
A chance for you, the glance of you,
Would it be another world percieved?

Immobile streaks, hopeless threads,
Striking now with ferocity.
If you had come to earlier be,
Would this be yet another dream?

Of all thats gone and all to come,
All that could have and could not be.
I bend my pride and thank the lords,
For this encounter meant to be.

We are but men of time and tide,
Which waits for none so why for me?
For if this would not come to be,
I would not see what i now see.

For words witheld and words unsaid,
For all that was and all will be.
A chance for you, the glance of you,
To lords i bend for chance to see
