Blabber

Blabber

A Poem by Pen Draggin'

Sometimes, I am unable to discern

if my thoughts have been spoken aloud.

If while standing about

crushed mumblings have left my mouth.

Inside where words reverberate off walls

I am all too aware

of the syllables and sounds that are not there.

The multitude of words that build in my brain

are so easily irrationally blurted,

yet censoring myself is essential.

For your sake.

So I let the silence unease me

as my torrent of words do you.

I love this. The idea is awesome and well executed throughout the whole thing. The only question I had was did you mean to say ,"where" twice in the fifth line? I could see where it could be on purpose because of the words reverberating off the wall, and that's how I read it, but I was just wondering. Hope all is well.

You have a lot of stuff that I haven't read yet so I will be changing that intermediately. I read a bunch but wanted to start with this one for the reviews. I want to go back through and make friends with the others because from what I've read I've got no complaints. So yeah, heads up.
First off, the title of this couldn't be more perfect and "crushed mumblings have left my mouth" is a new favorite one liner and you got a lot of good ones. There's also something powerful about the "For your sake" line and it's placement. Love it dear.
