Returning from a Dream

Returning from a Dream

A Poem by Adam Light

Sometimes, when returning from a dream,
I stumble upon a familiar stream.

But half awake, on the bank I sprawl,
And envision giving life my all.

In the rapids,  I hear true song.
My priorities have been all wrong.

Oh! This epiphany, I hope to keep,
Once I cross back over the stream of sleep.
