What do you see?

What do you see?

A Poem by Pennywriter

What do you see?

A window

In the night,

Open

For all to see,

Reveals

A naked lady.

Moving

In the painting,

Eyes

Down to the

Dark streets,

Spot me.

Don’t

Peep through

Windows,

They say,

So wisely

They do…

Tragedy

In a frame,

Yellow lamps

Light

The pain

Of a heart.

Silent

And invisible,

Tears pearl

Through me,

An inaudible

Melody.

Don’t

Peep through

Windows,

They say,

So wisely

They do…

The piano man,

In a bar,

Plays a tune,

Charming

A snake

In a jar.

Ladies observe,

Men laugh.

I got what

Was I deserve.

You were never,

What you seemed.

Don’t

Peep through

Windows,

They say,

So wisely

They do…

Beware

Who you

Love…

Beware

Who you

Love…

a fine imagery in these lines in a scene of scintillation I lost my x-ray spectacles a long time ago so I have learned to rely more on my ears than my eyes I use my eyes when I hear what it is i am viewing first so many pretty packages out there but inside them isn't always. I like the voice in this

Glad you enjoyed it sir!
There will be times when our eyes don't penetrate deep enough. When we see things at surface value. It comes as a great disappointment when people do not turn out the way we thought them to be. I think I would rather know than being kept in the dark. I enjoyed the way you conveyed these lines Pennywriter.
