If I was a Bard, you'd be my Ballad

A poem I wrote after people watching in several online communities

If I was a Bard, you’d be my Ballad

In a blink of an eye the sun burns bright melting sweet honey dew on a blossom of a Briar Rose 

The lone Honey Bee collecting nectar as it goes absorbs the warmth of the sun yearning to save its colony miles from home 

A little Cotton Tail barely in sight is it to small, to scared to take on the world with comforting hands scooping up it’s anxieties filling the cotton tail full to security 

Each one of us are represented in a little cotton tail, a brave honey bee, and a blossom of a Briar rose 

However what we don’t see is the strength of that Briar Rose the fortress it’s built upon layers and layers of it’s blossoms taking on winter and cold it can melt a nervous heart, during the sweltering summer it provides protection and shade to a brave Honey Bee, in the gentle spring it’s a sign of safety 

Low and behold perched in the fortress of shade we have the mighty Honey Bee willing to take on everything for those in need, every fibrous hair on its back holds the cries of their friends back home, pushing through wind and rain in hopes to guiding them all to the blossoms of safety 

The timid and shy Cotton Tail cheers on the mighty Honey Bee wishing it knew of it’s bravery, unaware of the symbolism it carries inside, that fear and anxiety don’t make them weak, They’re present in the moment cautious when need be, yet the comforting hands of the honey dew blossom is one step in it’s own journey 

So if you are an inquisitive Cotton Tail, an indomitable Honey Bee, or a fortifiable Briar Rose

Just know i’m a Bard and I am  proud you are my Ballad.
