The other room

The other room

A Poem by Percy Pound

The pen a sword
The paper a battlefield
The audience a captive, a hostage

Scribble, scribble, scribble...

One chance to get the point across
One do, no try
To convince them to join our side

Scribble, scribble, scribble

To conquer is to captivate
And to have no mercy is to
Have no fear

Scribble, scribble, scribble

You know the true meaning.
The TRUTH is hard to write, isn't it?
Just because it appears,
Doesn't
Mean it's true.

Scribble, Scribble, Scribble

Please, Please, Please
I beg of you
Take a look in someone else's room!
See the box cutter on the floor
The blood stained in the carpet
And the smile on their face.

Scribble, Scribble, Scribble

So if knifes can cut
and words can make a change
Just think about what you say
From this very day...
