![]() Demon's ColloquyA Poem by PerditionOn a crank wheeled of gold the gods turned in me Showering stars they were blind to know Beneath my scales laid Well hidden in a crowning corner Of my smile A twisting feather Paltering my fate over the wilted laces ‘gainst my rags of shoe A shield for inflection of struggles to come Where crows of thievery Already eyed upon my early afternoon Nestling deep in scriptures so carelessly as each cawed against prospection Fearsome schools of clouds circling Struggling like Chinook amongst the sky I spanned the flooding miles of hate My body inflicted Crumbling Knowing of fate and how it could never come Already absolute And though I chose well to choose against it For lightly sake of ease It chose to choose itself much wiser Boldly rendering me It was here On a field donned of blood Earth first On a mane moved to breathe over me Here Where I sunned my lungs lazily Asleep from dreams in Much affection but never in visions of lust Soon The rain released my oddity of tones A serpent of destine soon to become Magpie and scorpion wheeled in desert paltry Foraging within my chest Though nothing from arteries to be gained But it was here Here Forever It was here Tomorrow through a weighted mind I will know of her again Wading through rivers of rocks Here her beauty freed from doubt Will call down to me And there my journey will end Where it ends Death shall carry me My weight no longer proud Freed again I will turn back One intent of feather A shadow inside the wind Spiraled in swirls Of nightfall A fevered moon where our gods Of spindles and gold Will never know us. © 2015 PerditionReviews
