Among the wildflower

Among the wildflower

A Poem by Perdition

Come with me

come awhile

among the wild reeds and bursts of

geese in all

their wings in offerings

We’ll set a bed of nettles

of leaves and smaller things

taken as a tendering for the

sleepy hills

wild hands among the wildflower

Come morning

come dressed in ocean breeze

and the wishful for such sins,  to all

your colors come as one

that wills

Come as I've

always known

quenched in season

fluent in tomorrow, and love’s first birth

that June life of all that grows among the wild

Come-

discover this death again

awaiting

The laughter you've all but forgotten

The horizon has always been our only journey

a thirst come blood and tear

come everything that sings from nest

come blossoms bursting from the bud

so come the burdens with the daisy

Come and we will be the fools

a magnitude of one

come wild colors that

would cluster

Come again

come until

that final hour finds us weary

and spent of every light from every star

from wherever I might find you

This one speaks to so many possibilities and that is one of the wonders of poetry. Ten fellow poets can stop by and from them, ten responses based upon their perspective and place in life at the moment as they interact with this well-written piece.

All that being said, this one speaks to me of the wonder of love...in all its beauty and layers which some may not be so beautiful and yet, will be added to the treasure trove of memories when the heart looks back in remembrance of that season extraordinaire.

Your writing has grown in so many ways over the years, reading your work now is a delightful experience to the senses.. .thank you for your talented self, always writing, always creating... a true poet you are.

Catch up soon. ;-)

A treat as always to see you back in the cafe….. Thanks for the kindness H….as always~
So many great lines...."fluent in tomorrow, and love's first birth"
is one of them.
I hope at the end it is a comforting weariness we are left with...as if we did all we could to live the best life we could.

Sometimes there would be nothing better than running into the wild with a lover; embracing nature and each other. Enjoying the splendor of the moment until real life interferes and it departs on the wind
