Miss Universe

Miss Universe

A Poem by Peter Morgan
"

Somethings I find to at least tug at a few heart strings.

"
She longed to be Miss Universe.
Flipping through pages upon pages of magazines,
Searching,
Stumbling to find that one perfect aspect,
That one particular trait which categorized these women among the gods.
She was never close to perfect.
The scale never hit the right mark.
Out of all her vitals,
Her heart weighed the most.
She tried,
And tried,
But she couldn't take the stares,
The remarks,
The laughter.
So she searched for some way to end it faster.
All because she longed to be Miss Universe.
