Recurrence

Recurrence

A Poem by Pharos
"

i'm so scared of getting used to this...

"
I'm so scared of getting used to this,
So can we pretend a little longer.
That everything is still okay,
Selfishly keeping you by my side.

Everything goes on, Everything feels wrong
Moving forward, Moving on.
Looking towards the future, stuck behind the past.
Overwhelmed by regret and lingering moments.

" Don't try to remember, though I remain and linger.
Don't chase what has been done and withered.
Though I cry and whimper, unable to do you right.
Seek not my company, for I only bring you sorrow... "

Broken, shattered and yearning...
Seeing a familiar smile in the corner of my eye.
Grabbing a silhouette. that disperse and flies yonder.
A brilliant light, like fireflies that goes up the night sky.

I crack a smile, laughed and quiver.
Uncertain if I'll ever flip the next page of this story.
But I'll always know, that I only ever known...
Our story has been told, but never ended.
