![]() Mendacious PantomimeA Poem by Phill Oz O'fee![]() No good news today .....![]() Mendacious Pantomime As the innocent die of their starvation Within the walls of bomb cratered streets Swirling toxic gases melt young lungs A terror weapon to demoralise the meek The atrociousness of media imagery Highlight persecutions beyond belief And every day they keep on coming No immediate sign of rescue or relief
Too long the postured political rhetoric Has overshadowed constructive actions As the many false prophet players Act out the pantomime of their factions Down the slippery slope we go again If we all stand by and fecklessly log Meaningless 'tweeters' of protestations Of expostulation through social network blogs
Prioritising the rights and dealing with wrongs Must be the courageous just order of business Holding to account world leaders' responsibilities Through the joining of individual charitableness
Reminding all involved who persistently oppress They will be punished for their tyrant insanity For soon comes a day of final judgement When befitting payment settles their inhumanity
