Rippled Route

Rippled Route

A Poem by Phill Oz O'fee
"

Happens sometimes …

"

Rippled Route

Collapse

When any relationship breaks down

Emotional recollections are damaged

Like watching past possessions of love

Becoming an out of control heathland fire

Incinerating memoires into clouds of ash

Occurrence

Each blade of scorched remembrance

Unrecoverable from the enormity of loss

A barren void of parched empty feelings

On a battered rejection strewn plateau

Concealed by caustic tear filled clouds

Limbo

Reflections pondered in a broken mirror

Reveal a shattered soul’s displacements

An agglomerate of individual achy images

Viewed though disoriented weepy eyes

Confirm numbness of the here and now

Recovery

As in all things that come to challenge

From the residuum of a wounded heart

Rebirth of trust can once more mature

With endorsed actions from good friends

And a cognitive contention of self belief
