I Vow

I Vow

A Poem by Picasso
"

Dedicated to my beautiful daughter

"
Your arrival is my blessing because I get to give you what I never had,
The rare love of a true parent and the strength of a humbled dad.

I vow to be understanding and patient in your world of curiosity,
I know our bond will run deep
like this promise that ima keep.

Flesh of my flesh, soul of my soul
with you being here that wounded
piece in me now is forever whole.

I vow to be honest and give you everything that’s within me,
because you give my life that much more
purpose and you’ve become my serenity.

I’ve been told promises are to be broken,
but without a doubt I beg to differ,
some promises are birthed from genuineless love therefore they break quicker.

I don’t have all the answers to your “Whys” or all the answers to your “How’s”,
but I have an answer for “Daddy do you love me?” and that’s yes and that I VOW!

It's a very lovely piece and very thoughtful of you to make a vow to your kid.

A beautiful tribute to the birth of your daughter and also your lifetime journey into fatherhood. Wishing you and your family all the best.
