Your Sweet Princess

Your Sweet Princess

A Poem by piccolabeth

And so your sweet princess
Has found her place in the sun,
Sailing away from you
Before her time had come.

In silence her ship
Sweeps along in the waves,
Finding its way
On the path that life paves.

Though her parting has left you
With tears on your soul,
And you feel like your circle is losing its whole,
The fine memories you keep
Of the smiles that you shared
Will speak of how you loved;
How you hugged; how you cared.

You'll never forget
How the ocean was swaying,
Or how your edges came away,
As though you were fraying.
Yet the memories you have
You can choose to keep,
For your princess is still with you
If you choose to seek.
