Ode to Remembrance

Ode to Remembrance

A Poem by Piffinbottom
"

The recollection of a dying human.

"
Turn your neck to see the path behind
As it stretches beyond sight, ruggedly twisting on
Each bump a memory, fading until gone

But the calm swathes remain to remind
You of the good moments, filled with mirth
A remembrance of the good upon this Earth

Turning to face ahead, the memories stay with you
Painting the sky once more blue
You take a step forward, good thoughts in tow
Another step into the snow
It falls now in sheets, yet you don't feel fright
As your memoirs console you, and you fade into white.
