Distance

Distance

A Poem by Amethyst Wave

Tick tick tock goes the clock
Theres a burning in my heart
Could it be, could it be
Could it be my own mistake?
Was I wrong to be feared
Of losing the one I loved?
And through the sights, goes the lights
The darkness overwhelms

In this bed, lonely bed, there's a silence in the air
Quiet times, quiet nights, everything has changed
And your eyes, loose eyes, they're forgetful from the world
There's a distance, a distance between you & me.

I no longer move my hand towards yours
The inches feel more like miles
Over mountains, through the valleys
We no longer became a pair
From start to finish, the battles ended
We've becomed what I truely feared
And with that, my last breath
My darkness overwhelms.

In this bed, lonely bed, there's a silence in the air
Quiet times, quiet nights, everything has changed
And your eyes, loose eyes, they're forgetful from the world
There's a distance, a distance between you & me.

Tick tick tock goes the clock
Theres a burning in my heart
Could it be, could it be
Could it be there's a distance between you & me?
