keeps

keeps

A Poem by pipo

She comes too close as she used to be

We grow closer as we ponder on everything we see,

Every memory fades away and starts a new

But this time we only shared few,

Together we stay very near

Though from afar a cold wind blew fear,

She misses home.

I miss a home.

She cries for her old man

And before dew drops, I’ve come to understand,

It’s not enough for her, and nothing more to give

The old man suffers and keeps,

But her sadness still falls

And on my shoulder the trickling were not cold,

To her I could only say

You can rest and stop worrying for a day,

Not only prayers of words can move the Pure-Hearted One,

For every drop of your tears was caught by His hands.

It sounds like the speaker is in love with someone who has severe trust issues, possibly surrounding a troubled childhood?

It was a very interesting read, had me trying to figure out just what it was about.
I may have to re-read this again a bit later, I'm sort of caught up in multi-tasking right now, but other than that, I enjoyed it.
