The moment nothing mattered

The moment nothing mattered

A Poem by B

When roofs fell down
Creating silent seconds
Of a shelter losing its meaning
Through slow ticks of time
When a bullet shot
Only broke the sound of a prayer at dawn
When girls gather bread
While a world of tables went down
When a child struggled
Kicking out the million dollar basinett
When a country lost sovereignty
For another expansion of delusional protection
While women live in fear
Giving rights to those who sold love for a penny
When toys tore
While tanks roared
The bottles that spun
Finding no truth to our dares
Heartbreak hotels built
Replacing the love story
Thats the moment nothing mattered anymore
All things we could have had
but never would

But it does matter! Now, then was the time that you must gather all the pieces and put the whole thing back together again.

They will never be if we give up. The naysayers are always there. We must shut them out of our thinking. Care and cherish all those that we love and pretend that all the hurts were for yesterday and that today and tomorrow the brightest sun will shine.
