Shadowed Kiss

Shadowed Kiss

A Poem by B

Lingering stars stood if by reform
For true love only shored

As a moment driven to bay
A silent song would play

Deepened by unknown wounds
He holds her rippled hair

Learning of a stare
Counted days of some solemn years

She would call out the night
Of widowed ropes of life

Hanging floral boundaries
Passed through dreams

Shading a kindred soul
If meant by other chances

Something alive within
Would remind him of her

The longest walk across their shores
As midnight moon dips into an ocean

Days would rise in golden light
Hopes would look in clear sight

If eyes could kiss
In shadowed falls

A beautiful romantic idyll for one who has gone and yet lives on under the moonlit sky - a sky that somehow heals the wounds and offers light and hope. The sun will rise in the morning.

I feel glad to have come here.

Thank you Jibey
“Lingering stars” can be light or be us, burning brightly but alone, or at a distance. If “eyes could kiss” we might all be reckless lovers, or find the perfect mate in this dark place. Beautiful poem!

Thank you for your review
intensely romantic...somehow i felt an igniting of a relationship between two people who had lost previous lovers....had been alone and heart dead...but in this poem...eyes kiss, hearts start beating again...
and they both find something still alive within.
such a hopeful feeling from this.
beautiful.
