So let me tell you a story

Fresh out of my inventory

Listen with all your heart

And don’t blame me

If it hits you like an arrow or dart.

 

Woke up on a usual busy day

Have a lot of things to say

But work’s something that just can’t delay

Just feels like we’re going on and on

In life’s endless relay.

 

But among all this,

There’s this thing that keeps us sane,

We never are tired walking down that lane,

Manages to cheer you up,

Even when you experience pain.

 

Just meant to bring a smile to your face,

Like sunshine on harsh rainy days,

Making you forget about

The never-ending life’s race

Moments when you are nothing else

But truly yourself.

 

Might seem like a dream,

Like you are rolling down a stream,

Makes you want to shout and scream,

At the top of your voice,

And all over the world, it’s just you and your noise.

 

Who says dreams are just seen at night,

Just close your eyes buddy with no fright,

And right in front of you,

Lies the most special sight,

And when u believe what you want is right,

You shall find bright light,

So, i am a 20 year old boy fascinated about poems since i was a kid, written stuff about various topics but this one is something which is very close to my heart. We as youngsters, tend to have a lot of dreams but somehow due to this fast paced world tend to ignore them and gradually the thing we always loved takes a back seat, hence through this poem I've tried to convey the message to be proud of the special thing hidden inside us and to cherish it as that's something that keeps us sane.
