The long journey back to this

The long journey back to this

A Poem by Siveti

On this bed of silk and roses
Time leaves me withered and strange
Homeland I hear you calling loudly
Through pebbled streets of unknown fame

Horse and carriage there will take me
To a rocky hot sea of love
My life is written in this azure sky
As if swimming through lines that I wrote presently, oh to be as free as a dove, the long journey back to this begins, on this bed...

Of silk and roses
Time leaves me withered and strange
Homeland I hear you calling loudly
Through pebbled streets of unknown fame

Horse and carriage there will take me
To a rocky hot sea of love
My life is written in this azure sky
As if swimming through lines that I wrote presently, oh to be as free as a dove, the long journey back to this begins, on this bed...

Your poem seems to be blending the idea of "old times" (represented by horse & carriage) with the idea of some love emanating from the past. It's like we imagine some long-lost love in ways that are ill-fitted for modern times, but this old past love just won't fit into modern times (((HUGS)))
