Sunset DreamsA Poem by Melinda McQueenNever stop dreaming. Whimpers in the distance Become close and personal In their stance, Seeking no denial. Loud is the cry, And long is the beat. Descending from a well-used sky Are sunset dreams. Fruition pursues to claim The perfect picture to capture. A goal in which to aim, A precious allure. A fragrant in the nostril Strong and sweet. A deeply planted will In sunset dreams. The act of believing, The need of the unknown. The journey for the seeing, The secret shown. Far above, Yet within reach. Descending into the spirit with love Are sunset dreams.
