Stargazers

Stargazers

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

A night long ago

Beheld the greatest of stars.

With power it shone

Through the dark.

Following God’s sign,

The stargazers took a journey.

To see the Christ

Was their only plea.

Illuminating the way

For all to see

Their Savior’s face

In a newborn baby.

Pointed to the Child,

There was He in all glory.

So gentle and mild,

Yet, the changer of history.

Coming with praise and fear,

The stargazers’ hearts were opened.

God was ever near,

And their faith deepened.

This Christmas let us

Look to the ultimate Star,

Which is Christ, joyous.

Let us be Stargazers in seeking the Savior’s heart.
