Like the Stars

The stars cover the night sky,

Dazzling the earth with their display.

From the heavens they catch the eye,

Illuminating hope in their array.

 

Lights in the dark,

Shining such glory.

Peace imparts,

Up high and free.

 

Shooting through the night,

A mesmerizing scene,

A glorious sight,

Causing a callous heart to believe.

 

Counting the stars

Is as counting the blessings

Of who You are,

For You, God, are my everything.

 

You lift me up when I’m falling,

Holding me in love.

You hear me calling

From high up.

I long to shine for You,

Your love ever in my heart

Ever in Your truth,

Like the stars.
