The Infinite Space

The Infinite Space

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

The wind blew her hair,

As she wished he was there.

Life always had a way,

In that nothing stayed the same.

A stark reminder that it can all be gone

In a blink, a timeless song.

She had found love--

A love she had dreamt of.

A treasure within her heart

In which he would ever be a part.

The wind had finally blown her way,

Of love, she had gotten a taste.

Coming on strong,

Love could do no wrong.

He was all she ever wanted, yet more,

Everything she didn’t think she could ask for.

True love was known,

And clearly shown.

A love all their own,

A love never gone.

Parted by life and death,

Their love will ever rest

In the infinite space

That only the two grace.
