The Sin Disease

The Sin Disease

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

It sucks the life out

As darkness crowds.

Spinning out of control,

Yet few even know.

It robs happiness

And adds stress.

Killing the soul,

The sin disease bestows.

Ravishing heart, soul, mind,

Light it cannot find.

Devouring every moment

Until there is no vent.

It separates and hides

From the revealing light.

Taking residence and space,

The sin disease makes haste.

Strangling the spirit

So the Light cannot come near it.

But behold, the Light has come

In the Holy One.

Seek Jesus while He may be found,

Lest in darkness you drown.

The Rescuer is the only remedy

For the sin disease.

Bravo my dear! Your poem speak the truth in wisdom. The closure in the final stanza sums it up nicely...(Seek Jesus while He may be found, Lest in darkness you drown. The Rescuer is the only remedy For the sin disease.) So very true! ~Sharon

Thank you.
Seek Jesus while He may be found,
Lest in darkness you drown.
The Rescuer is the only remedy
For the sin disease.

Sin, the avoidable disease if we can muster the strength and courage to seek 'The Rescurer" for in the end it is too late. Find Him while you can. A beautiful piece urging faith.
