By the RiverA Poem by Melinda McQueenBy the River
It flows freely, Ever moving with ease. Ripples in its steady stream
In my spirit, am I standing by the river, And see myself in its shimmer. My dreams in there somewhere, I see them moving there.
Dare I drop a pebble of faith Into this little space? To let go of my worldly fears And unleash these hopeful tears?
Flow… flow… flow… God only knows Where it will go… And what it will sow.
Yes, I dare to toss my cares And let God meet me there. I’m standing with a heart rendered By the river. © 2016 Melinda McQueen
