![]() Patti Picks Pretty Purple PetuniasA Poem by Melinda McQueen![]() Patti Picks Pretty Purple Petunias
Patti walks through the garden, Taking in the smell at her pardon. Skipping, skipping, minding her own way, She seeks her very own beauty in array.
Along her journey, Her eyes catch what she seeks. One by precious one, Patti picks pretty purple petunias beneath the sun.
With each she picks, Patti feels her soul being enriched. With basket lined in purple flowers, Her faith gains power.
For with each, she believes That her dreams will come to be. Sorting each one just so, Patti picks pretty purple petunias all aglow.
Though Patti pricks her fingers, Exhausted by her effort, still, she lingers. Walking the path before her, Patti picks another.
With the sun beaming its light, She sets high her sights. Breathing in her dreams’ beautiful aroma, Patient Patti plants pretty purple petunias. © 2016 Melinda McQueenReviews
