A Thousand Teardrops

A Thousand Teardrops

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

A Thousand Teardrops

Questions unanswered,

Love not measured.

Hopes crashed,

Dreams dashed.

The heart opens,

Love deepens.

Shattering like glass,

The hurt refuses to be masked.

Falling like rain,

A thousand teardrops water the pain.

Drowning the soul,

Letting the hurt flow.

Screaming to be freed,

In search of inner peace.

Forming something tangible

From the soul’s intangible.

Seeping out onto the surface in emotion

From the deepest of the “bluest” ocean.

When the heart breaks, nothing can stop

A thousand teardrops.

You are right my dear friend Melinda.
"When the heart breaks, nothing can stop
A thousand teardrops."
Tears, sometime hidden and never stopping. Thank you for sharing the powerful poetry.

You are welcome Melinda.
Sometimes I feel that our tears are just God's rain to help the flowers grow. Valentine
