Where Fear FleesA Poem by Melinda McQueenWhere
Fear Flees A force that strikes, Leaving you numb and insecure. Its been said That it’s something you must endure.
Hitting you in the worst of times, It tends to take control. Finding yourself “playing it safe”, Where fear finds you, taking a toll.
It robs you of much, Sending your thoughts into a tailspin. It lies, telling you that you don’t have what it takes To see things to the end.
An ugly monster To be stopped in its tracks With the mighty torch called Faith, Where fear flees, turning back.
For love casts out fear, Believing in the power of God’s grace. Driving out negative thoughts, Faith enters its stay.
In comes the Holy Spirit, Whose presence is graciously released… Transforming hearts into a place where faith abounds and where fear flees. © 2018 Melinda McQueenReviews
