What Joy I Feel at Thy Coming

What Joy I Feel at Thy Coming

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

What Joy I Feel at Thy Coming

What Joy I feel at Thy coming.

What a blessed event in store.

To see my Savior coming in the clouds,

What more could one ask for?

Though days seem long,

And trials rear their ugly heads,

I will ever praise Thee.

In Thy Word let me tread.

As I gather Thy Word into my heart,

Let Thy grace gather within me.

To hear Thy voice is my desire--

My ever-growing plea.

What joy I feel at Thy coming…

For I know there is a destined day,

When all shall see Thy glory

And bow to Thy holy Name.

The angels shall sing,

As all saints behold Thy face.

Even shadows will bow at Thy Light,

For all darkness shall be erased.

O how wonderful it will be,

To share timeless space with the King!

Though I rejoice now, I can’t imagine

What joy I will feel at Thy coming!
