Into the Depth of Who I Am

Into the Depth of Who I Am

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

Into the Depth of Who I Am

Into the depth of who I am,

I dare you to peer.

What would you see?

Would you see hope or fear?

I want you to see a soul

That has persevered through life.

Imperfect and bearing struggles,

Yet finds peace in He who has helped me survive.

In this heart of mine

Is a will to be.

A longing to propel

Higher than any believe.

To cause many to pause

With hand over mouth.

Not because of me,

But for my God’s glory to cry out.

Though I fail Him time and again,

He never leaves me alone.

Faithful is He who created me,

For He sees me as His own.

The greatest within me

Is the Lion and the Lamb.

I hope my little life points

Into the depths of the Great I AM!

I agree dear Melinda.
"The greatest within me

Into the depths of the Great I AM!"
I lost god and I found god often in my life. But I learn. I didn't walk alone. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry my friend.
