Overwhelmed By Him

Overwhelmed by Him

 

Great are His ways,

Though “great” could never covey

All that He is.

At which feeble words could never accomplish.

 

If I were a skilled poet,

I could never show it.

His ways are past finding out.

Overwhelmed by Him, at His ev’ry route.

 

For He does everything in His own timing,

As He is the perfect poet in rhyming

He who built the earth and sea

Is building me.

 

His pow’r is amazing.

There I go again, using meager words in displaying

His mercy and grace on high.

Overwhelmed by Him, His grace I could never describe.

 

Yet, God still inhabits my praise,

And never does He look away.

Deserving of much more,

But still, my worship He adores.

 

How gracious is He

To hear from me.

He knows my every whim.

O  how I am overwhelmed by Him!
