The Glory Upon the Cross

The Glory Upon the Cross

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

The Glory Upon the Cross

The Lord displayed

All the love He gave.

There on the cross

He gave up the ghost.

Jesus paid the price

As His heart cried.

He took the lost…

The glory upon the cross.

Feeling the hurt, the pain,

Still, He gave.

With love in His heart,

He ignited the dark.

O what pow’r in His Name,

The One who came to save.

O what an amazing invitation posed…

Jesus, the glory upon the cross.

Amen ... what a perfect poem for the season as we head into Pentecost ... as Jesus completed all that He was called to do .. all the suffering, all the teaching .. by words and example as He simply said "It is finished" ... all of humanity for all time now has that path and doorway open to us. Jesus fulfilled the whole of the Law ... we can't ;) He gave up the Ghost, died, was buried and rose from the dead ... then Ascended .. and the Holy Spirit came down ..the very rocks should cry out in joy eh!? so very inspiring .. glad I stopped to read and meet you Melinda .. peace and joy
