![]() In the ValleyA Poem by Melinda McQueenIn the Valley
Dark and lonely, Long and winding. It seems impossible to look ahead, As fear and anguish are blinding.
As an inner fire torments, Roaming in a fit of darkness… The soul all but depleted. The valley long and tarnished.
When you’ve lost your faith And have given up the fight, Know that there’s something big at work, And will soon see the light.
No matter how dark your darkest night, There will come the brightest day… Lending a hand to take hold, And joy will take the place of pain.
Think not for a second That you’re alone in your pain. For God is in the valley with you, Every step of the way.
Soon, the Lord will meet you on the hilltop And fill you with His peace. Until then, let Him hold your hand In the valley.
