Butterfly Dreams

Butterfly Dreams

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

Butterfly Dreams

Always fluttering just out of reach,

Making me want to stretch to touch,

Desiring to grasp them in a rush.

Chasing after butterfly dreams.

Soaring with colorful wings in flight,

Never halting or losing their way

As the sky’s their stay.

Taking on the world in their own might.

Wings refusing to give in,

Knowing it’s worth the search.

I’m finding more and more the trend

That kaleidoscope dreams eventually perch.

Dancing before me, keeping my faith flexing…

Butterfly dreams keep me stretching

You are welcome dear Melinda.
Butterflies have wonderful appeal. I always look on them as being the spirits of my dearly departed. They are incredibly graceful as well as fragile. I just love it when they find their way into my garden. Your poem is beautiful Melinda.

Yes, I've always admired butterflies. Fragile, yet they soar the heights. Thanks for reading.
