In the Rising Sun

In the Rising Sun

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

In the Rising Sun

In the rising sun

There is hope unto a new day.

A renewal has begun.

Though many the sum,

Each day is different in its stay.

In the rising sun.

A blessing given to one

Is an answer to which one has prayed.

A renewal has begun.

A new song still sung

Unto the One who molds clay,

In the rising of the sun.

The Breath of life has won.

Delivering life in the same marvelous way,

A renewal has begun.

The work is done,

The Lord has the power to overturn all graves.

In the rising Son,

A renewal has begun.
