Brilliantly They Shine

 

In the thick of night

The stars ever bright.

Tucked in their place in the universe,

Their duty to serve.

Thousands upon thousands look upon earth

Since their miraculous birth.

Stretched across time,

Brilliantly they shine.

 

Journeying in space,

Still, they keep place.

Twinkling through the cosmos,

Seen up high, their glow.

Their existence causes wonder,

Their presence as the sound of thunder.

Tiny specks visible way up high,

Brilliantly they shine.

 

Blinking eyes peer down,

Safe and sound.

Grasping the fortitude

Of what they were created to do.

Born amongst galaxies,

Ever a part of reality.

In the fabric of life are they entwined,

Brilliantly they shine.

 

When light breaks through,

An awakening occurs in truth.

Peeking ‘neath the darkness,

The light seeks to nest.

Once invited inside,

It ever resides.

When souls know their design,

Brilliantly they shine.
