My Forever’s Calling

 

My forever in height of supreme time

Never fails to purchase a sense of peace.

When nestled deeply into the heart's space,

I’m completely awestruck by its meter.

Far above worldly time I’m now acquainted,

The richness of forever lies ahead.

 

This life spread before me has little hold

Compared to the beauty which shall reveal,

Here where mere things rot away and destroy,

And where the selfish thief steals inner peace.

Oh yes! My future's rolled out before me.

The sacred forever always draws near.

 

In a fleeting moment shall it come,

In a twinkling of an eye, glorified.

All my heavy burdens shall be released

As I look full into my Savior’s face.

Troubles give way with one touch of His hand,

My forever glorified body… free!

 

There holds a treasured place for me beyond

What my meager mind could ever phantom.

What glory awaits this weary, tried soul!

How earnestly and reverently calls

My heart to seek out and know from this side,

My forever’s calling, not far from here.
