When I Shall RiseA Poem by Melinda McQueenWhen I Shall Rise
In places high, In places low… When I rise… You have my soul.
On the mountaintop, Your favor extends. In the valley Your grace stops not, But is ever sufficient.
Perfected is Your strength In peril times seemingly long. For You are strong when I am weak, Carrying me, I’m never alone.
When I excel in life, When I faulter and fall… You stand at my side, Your mercies stand tall.
I’ve been stranded ashore, Yet Your love came to my rescue. I’m washed clean by Your blood evermore, Cleansed unto my Savior true.
In a high place Will I forever reside. How
gloriously I will see Your face
