"Beloved, You Are Mine"

“Beloved, You Are Mine”

 

Lost and alone,
she was on her own.

A heavy burden she carried,
as she walked, she tarried.

The journey brutal,
her legs as noodles.

Nothing was right,
no end in sight.

Her heart cried
the more she tried.

Crumpled to the ground,
her heart began to pound.

Finding she didn’t have strength
to carry on in life’s length.

Then, came a still, small voice,
and she knew she had a choice.

The Voice whispered, “Beloved, you are Mine.”
and suddenly, her whole being sighed.

Her heart felt lighter,
and her outlook, brighter.

For she wasn’t alone, but found,

her Beloved had picked her up from the ground.

He wrapped His love around her
to totally astound her.

She then heard herself saying--
for the first time, she was praying
with all her might--

“Beloved, You are mine.”
