Heart of My Soul

 

A sense of being,

A home where riches dwell.

A habitat taken,

A now heavenly occupied vessel.

 

How could I ever

Go without the One I know?

Giver of life,

Heart of my soul.

 

Pumping life anew

Into this wayward soul of mine,

My compass through the desert,

And my lifted sail at high tide.

 

Elevating me to higher plains,

Never again to be brought down low.

For I am protected on all sides,

Heart of my soul.

 

The King of my temple,

The reason I will live for all eternity.

The lifter of my soul,

The sanctuary of my peace

 

Alive within me,

My Deliverer will bring me Home.

Jesus, You are my love--

Heart of my soul.
