Triumphantly Risen

Triumphantly Risen

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

Triumphantly Risen

Enduring the cross,

He saved all the lost

By taking the blame

Jesus took the pain.

Wholeheartedly so,

Did His Blood flow.

Pouring it all out,

This did He shout:

“It is finished!” loud.

And His head bowed.

Note, He did not say,

“I AM finished.” That day.

For on the third awaited day,

Jesus rose from the grave!

Our Savior won victoriously,

The enemy under His feet!

What a glorious day given,

Jesus Triumphantly Risen!
