Whispers

Whispers

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

Whispers

In the quiet still,

Your comfort quills.

A friend like no other,

A living wonder.

Whispers of love

Forever enough.

Sanctuary of peace

Living in me.

My Helper in times

Of need from on high.

A strength inside me

Is my heart’s plea.

Whispers of grace

Fill the inner space.

When I have no words,

I am still heard.

My cry, the Holy Spirit

Translates and God hears it.

In utterances, He makes known

To the One on the Throne.

Whispers of mercy

Now surround me.

How grateful am I…

Holy Spirit resides.
