She spoke of things

She could not keep

Sharing secrets

Dark and deep

She spoke to me

Of lives gone by

Of saddened hearts

And why they cry.

She made me see

My journey's end

She kissed my life

And called me friend.

She touched my heart

And made me see

Her one true love

Was always me.

this is short and sweet, simple but in a really good way..

just rolls off the tongue and sticks to the mind.

...most of my work I keep short...to me it hits harder...lol.

my philosophy with writing in general has always been "less is more"---

it does hit harder.

...it's a style that came naturally to me...I've tried drawing them out longer, but the message gets lost sometimes...and other times it's just redundent.
